I’m excited to have won the MAAC https://www.monticelloareaarts.org Poster Design Contest for the Monticello Farmer’s Market!! The design will be in print ads and on posters and displays at the Market and around Monticello for this season. Check it out!
Another great Peony Painting workshop at the Allerton gardens this year. We finished just as the sun was going down on a beautiful spring evening.
Released December 5th is my new Christmas book, “Monsters Love Christmas Too!”
I have a limited number of copies on their way to me. If you would like a signed copy for $15, please email me before Dec. 15th. They will arrive to you by Dec. 22nd.
Otherwise, you can purchase an unsigned copy for direct delivery to your address at:
I was invited to discuss my book “Who’s in the Woods?” today at the Monticello Mom’s Group meeting. It was a great time. I knew all the mom’s from Storytimes and other programs at the Library so it was very relaxed and casual. Just how I like it!
Here’s my Mini Tree Submission for the MAAC 2nd Annual Mini Tree Festival.
“Buttoned Up” is a mixed media painting that includes a pastel tree, glitter (of course), and embellished buttons for ornaments. All crowned with an old broach that has always reminded me of a Christmas Star. You can’t see all the glitter in the picture but in person it is fabulously sparkly.
I was asked to provide Storytime sessions for the younger kids at the Monticello Elementary Reading Night on November 16th. I had a great time and saw a lot of familiar faces at the 3 sessions that evening. Plus they let me promote my new book “Who’s In the Woods?”
The final revisions are in and my first Children’s Book “Who’s in the Woods?” is currently available for sale directly from the printer (Lulu) and/or will be available on Amazon (possibly Barnes & Noble) within the next 6-8 weeks — of course I receive a larger % if you purchase directly from the printer 😉
I am so excited I can barely contain myself! It’s taken forever since I finished my Master’s degree to finish all the paintings from my Thesis Project into this first book and I’ve already started my second book “Who’s in the Forest?”; a book about a northern boreal forest covered in snow on Christmas Eve.
